SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

CAN A NON-VIETNAM CITIZEN AND VIETNAM CITIZEN MARRY IN THAILAND LEGALLY?

Yes, they can with our help!

We do NOT recommend trying to do registration on your own, as only a very few selective registry offices will only do the registration and most will not do it if DIY couples as then they have no recourse. if there is a problem, but if you work with an agency they know and respect they are covering themselves and you of any wrongdoing.

As of 2022, it is normally possible for a Vietnam national to marry in Thailand. As the embassy will issue the needed affidavits.

The Vietnam embassy will not always issue documents allowing one to get married in Thailand. However, we have had wonderful success lately.

We have done a number of mixed nationalities couples with Vietnam nationals with success.  The embassy requirements change often, so best to get current requirements as a Citizen from your Vietnam embassy in Bangkok only.

Please contact your embassy in BANGKOK for current details of the papers required from Vietnam before applying for coming to marry in Thailand.

After we have explained and worked out the required details and timing TO REGISTER IN THAILAND, You may be required to contact YOUR EMBASSY IN Bangkok
